About Jeremy Adam Weingarten, M.D.
As Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, I hope to provide my faculty and staff with a supportive environment so that our group can succeed in our mandates of providing exemplary clinical care, training future doctors, and pursuing innovative research activities. Brooklyn is a special place with special needs, and we all strive to provide our patients with the best clinical care possible. We are also a fellowship training program for future pulmonary, critical care, and sleep specialists and we all endeavor to provide a collegial and nurturing atmosphere to ensure top notch education and research activities.
After attending medical school at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Internal Medicine, I became a proud member of the NewYork-Presbyterian family, completing my training at Columbia University Medical Center in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
My clinical focus is Sleep Medicine; I am currently the Director of the Center for Sleep Disorders at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and see the full spectrum of sleep disorders. I am also clinically active in Critical Care Medicine, rounding in the medical ICU as an intensivist.
My research interests are varied, but include observational and clinical trials in Sleep Medicine, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
